Lemony Pty Ltd was founded in January 2020 as the seed of a vision - to create a business built on trust, efficiency, and a genuine desire to help people.

In May 2021, our journey took a decisive turn when we launched

VeriCrim Helderberg

as a trading division.

Since then, it has grown to become the heart of our business.

We specialise in Police Clearances (criminal record checks), expungement of records, and verification of documents

such as matric and educational certificates, identity documents, and employment history.

We also conduct credit checks and assist educators in registering with their professional body, SACE.

As a registered Afiswitch, LexisNexis and MIE service provider, and as part of the broader VeriCrim Group, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and service.

Our story began in a deeply personal way. In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, our son was searching for a job after completing his studies. He needed a Police Clearance Certificate - but with appointments at police stations booked out for weeks and turnaround times stretching from three to six months, the process was frustratingly slow. We didn’t have the luxury of waiting. While searching for solutions, I reached out to my cousin in Nelspruit, who owned a VeriCrim branch. He encouraged me to open one in the Western Cape.

Despite travel restrictions, I made my way to Pretoria for training - alongside my sister, who would go on to open the Pretoria branch. Although it was too late to help my son, the experience opened my eyes to a greater need:
